Girls Incorporated of Memphis: Economic Literacy

Economic Literacy is a program that provides girls with the skills and self-confidence they need to contribute to the economy and make strong, smart and bold decisions about their financial futures. "She's on the Money!" teaches girls to recognize various denominations of paper and coin money and encourages girls to consider the pros and cons of spending now versus spending later. "Equal Earners, Savvy Spenders" is a component for girls ages 12-14 that allows girls to practice setting short- and long-term financial goals, explores the risks and returns of investing, and encourages girls to consider their role in the global economy.
