Campaign For Our Children

An alarmingly high teen birthrate was the incentive to form the Campaign for Our Children program. Since its inception, this abstinence-plus education and outreach program has helped lower Maryland's teen pregnancy rate by over 20 percent. Targeted primarily at 9- to 14-year-olds, the program also educates parents, policy makers, educators, and the community, spreading its prevention message through aggressive mass media campaigns, public relations, and in-school and community-based education.
