Game Show Test Reviews:
School is tough sometimes. A lot can be expected from your children. In order to get your child studying and not feel resentful about it you can make it fun. Try making it like a game show. For example if your child has to learn the states and state capitals, make it like who wants to be a millionaire type game. Your child can have 3 cheat cards, like phone a friend, clues given, and multiple choice answers. When the game is over their can be prizes like an extra hour of tv on the weekend, or going out for ice cream. Kids get stressed to, so sometimes helping them learn something in a fun way takes to the pressure off.
Making Mini Pizzas:
Kids love pizza. And what they love even more is being able to make their own. It doesnt have to be a big project you can get some English muffins, so sauce, shrehdded mozzarella, and special toppings. It is something quick easy and fun to do with your kids. It also helps them to be creative (with the toppings) and helps them to learn about cooking.
Nature Walks:
Now that your kids are little older they are going to be able to understand and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Find some nature trails close to home and go exploring with your kids. See what kind of things you can find that you have never seen before. You would be surprised by how many new things you stumble upon when taking these types of walks. Looking for things youve never seen before becomes a mission and is a great way to talk to your child about new and exciting things.
Story Time:
On a rainy day a great way to take up a good chunk of the day and explore all the areas of your childs imagination is writing a story. You can sit together and brainstorm all your ideas and then create an amazing story. Its a great way to spend a day doing something fun and FREE!
